Dental restorations play an essential role in making over and rehabilitating smiles. And, at Dental Oasis of Orange County, no “case” is too complex. Our team in Huntington Beach, California, has the right blend of training, experience, and technologies to properly plan and administer full-mouth rehabilitation or reconstruction, using restorations as well as a range of other cosmetic and periodontal therapies.
Generally, dental restorations refer to those treatment options that are used to preserve teeth that fractures have marred, wear and tear, injuries, decay, and other types of trauma. Depending on your needs and preferences, we may recommend:
Dental fillings for cavity repair, which may be made out of metal-free materials such as composite resin
Conservative onlays (partial crowns) for more extensive damage to the teeth
Full dental crowns to hold together broken teeth and otherwise repair teeth that are not good candidates for other restorations listed here
Root canal treatment to avoid extractions or the removal of deeply inflamed or infected teeth
Teeth that cannot be treated with root canal therapy or that do not heal following such treatment, must be extracted or removed.
Our team also has significant expertise in modern tooth replacement options, and we will replace teeth promptly. We are happy to discuss options such as crowns, bridges, and dentures (overdentures) supported by dental implants. Once placed and integrated into the surrounding bone in the jaw, implants are attached to prosthetic teeth. They can then function as tooth roots to stabilize the crown, bridge, or denture. We also plan, design, and place precision-fit, highly durable and highly esthetic bridges, partial dentures (“partials”), and complete dentures.
No two treatment plans are the same. They require a thorough examination and consultation with each patient. Our advanced technologies, such as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), also aid in precisely and strategically planning treatments (like where to place dental implants in the jawbone).
In partnership with you, treatment recommendations will be made based on factors such as the number of remaining teeth, the availability of supportive bone (and soft tissues), and the condition of existing teeth. Still, other treatments, outside of dental restorations and tooth replacement, may be integrated into your unique plan. These services include periodontal therapies to restore or rejuvenate diseased or damaged gums and cosmetic procedures, such as professional teeth whitening and dental bonding, to address esthetic concerns and boost smile balance and appeal.
